Several nations have recently allowed provisions for Muslims to have their own legal system to handle legal matters in their host nation. "Sharia Law" is a legal system which many Muslims adhere to. However, in the United States we already have a Legal System and it is required to be "The Law" for everyone who lives, visits, or is a citizen of the United States. Look for Liberals to try to allow Sharia Law in the US to appease Muslims soon. Not only would it be illegal and unconstitutional, it would also be against the required "Oath of Allegiance" which is required for citizenship. If anyone becomes a US citizen and then breaks this oath, they should be stripped of US Citizenship and deported.
Oath of Allegiance
The oath of allegiance is:
"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."
In some cases, USCIS allows the oath to be taken without the clauses:
". . .that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by law. . ."
If USCIS finds that you are unable to swear the oath using the words "on oath", you may replace these words with "and solemnly affirm." If USCIS finds that you are unable to use the words "so help me God" because of your religious training or beliefs, you are not required to say these words.
By Rick Mathes (Audio by Chuck Swindol)
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.
The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and sked, "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "Non-believers!"
I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."
I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"
The Imam was speechless.
I continued, "I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question! ...would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and wants you to be with me?"
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, "Rick, remember that the truth will prevail."
And it will!

REGENERATION - Our first goal at Mission Gate Prison Ministry is to lead prisoners to a saving knowledge of Christ, to confess Him as Savior and to live their lives under His Lordship. These Christian saints are then discipled to reach out to fellow prisoners with the Good News that we pray will "set the captives free." Then the other shoe hits the floor: they are released to the free world. There are over 80 opportunities for volunteers to minister in jails and prisons each month! >>Learn about our Volunteer Opportunities...
REHABILITATION - Our second goal is to provide a one year program that will "take the prison out of the inmate." That is, to disciple them in Christian living that does not shame our Lord. This is accomplished through our one year Aftercare and Guest Home Program in St. Louis and Cuba, Missouri. >>Find out more about Aftercare and Guest Homes...
REINTEGRATION - And lastly, we help them return to society as members of the evangelical church of their choice, gainfully employed, housed, and walking in the Lord as a light upon a hill. They return to "the hood" and when people get to know them, they get to know Jesus. From that point on we have "passed the baton" to the Church they hold their membership with. We pray that they will follow the pastor that follows the Master. At this point, we did our job for His glory and honor. >>Discover how your church can help...
